Bio

The power of design can be the pivotal factor between business success and failure, I advocate for a “less is more” approach that amplifies content and context. Inspired by how great brands strategically use design to establish their market presence, my mission is to leverage design to reposition brands, cultivating an aura of premium quality that supports a higher price for a superior offering. I’ve proudly contributed to the success of luxury giants such as Seiko and high fashion brand Jenny Packham, as well as played a pivotal role in the growth of smaller brands.

My design and digital acumen stems from extensive industry experience across in-house and agency environments, providing a holistic understanding of the design business. My passion fuels my commitment to continuous improvement, refinement, and iteration, always striving for design-driven progress for myself and my clients.

Skills

Specialising in website design since my later university years, my passion has driven me to cultivate deep expertise in Website Design and UX/UI Product Design. My diverse experiences across various business environments and cultural approaches to design have equipped me with a comprehensive understanding to execute website projects from initial conception and research through to final delivery and launch. I’ve developed a signature visual language, a recognisable and personal style for interpreting the unique visual and functional needs of a business’s website – its most critical marketing asset.

User Experience (UX) has been foundational to my website design career; without it, projects inevitably fall short of business objectives. Leveraging strong agency experience, I’ve honed a comprehensive UX skillset, enabling me to ideate, design, prototype, test, and launch high-performing digital products and websites. This process is continuously refined through real-time user feedback and ongoing professional development.

My two years in an e-commerce-focused agency provided a steep but invaluable learning curve, equipping me with industry-standard best practices to build solid foundations for Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) and design specifically for conversion, while deeply understanding target demographic use cases. This e-commerce focus has become a pivotal skill in today’s increasingly online-driven market, allowing me to expertly optimise bespoke e-commerce stores for maximum performance.

With a primary background in graphic design, building brand identities and crafting impactful logos is a cornerstone of my skillset – it’s second nature. I focus on developing and amplifying existing brand foundations, pushing their capabilities and deepening the evoked personality to capture attention and foster brand loyalty. Furthermore, in today’s digital-first environment, website design has become a crucial platform for showcasing brand personality and prestige, acting as a key driver for overall brand success, both locally in Tunbridge Wells and beyond.

My formal education in Graphic Design provided a foundational craft, which I’ve since expanded with essential skills that transcend the discipline while remaining aligned with client and employer needs. This dedication to a holistic design approach allows me to create continuity across brand identity, print materials, and web experiences, resulting in a seamless brand journey and a premium brand marketing output for businesses here in Tunbridge Wells and beyond.

Recognising that design devoid of strategy is essentially guesswork, I believe a strong Design & Digital strategy is paramount to meeting employer, client, and business KPIs. My time in in-house roles has been invaluable in developing and refining my expertise in the strategic underpinnings of design execution, where the direct impact of this approach is clearly evident for organisations operating in the UK’s dynamic market.
